Always On: Ambient Clock

Always On: Ambient Clock is an app that lets you do exactly what its name suggests: leave your screen idle while displaying the current time and date. Be careful, though, because if you don't have an AMOLED screen the app could drain your battery.

In the setup options you can completely customize the visual style of the clock. Personalize elements as important as the time format, or as superficial as the color or the font. Red or orange? Pixelated or stylized? You have more than 20 fonts and all different colors to choose from. You can choose to view the percentage of battery on your screen as well.

Other options in Always On: Ambient Clock let you activate the app only when the phone's plugged in, or deactivate it automatically when your device detects that it's in your pocket.

Always On: Ambient Clock is a very interesting app that lets you keep your Android on the table, constantly showing you the time. This way, you won't need to press the button every time you want to check the time, which is the most common reason for doing so. Plus, you can also choose to activate or deactivate your notifications.
